The reserve has an environmental education center called BUITRE DE CIENAGA, which offers the visitor an auditorium and sanitary battery room.
It is the main wetland in the alluvial plain of the Cauca River and in the jurisdiction of the CVC. In it you can find many species of birds including residents and migrants from North America and other regions. La Laguna, besides being a regulating vessel for the floods of the Cauca River, is the last redoubt of the native lagoon ecosystem of considerable extension, which persists in the Cauca Valley, from which its different livelihoods derive from different families located in El Provenir y Media Canoe. In addition to the natural values that become great recreational, cultural, educational and scientific potential.
Terrestrial: Around the lagoon, you can stop to observe birds of the marshy area and beaches.
Aquatic: In boats for birdwatching in the lagoon area.
Sites of interest: The Observation Tower on the Mata zarza peninsula, the forest of the flatlands in the eastern part of the lagoon and the panoramic view over the Cauca River by the western sector, fishing with hook and environmental photography.

Keep in mind that to enter you must have confirmation of acceptance from us. This procedure is established so as not to exceed the load capacity of the Center, guarantee the quality of the experience and avoid the deterioration of the natural heritage that is preserved in the place.
WHAT IS THE CENTER'S SCHEDULE?
The Center is open for visitors from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
For groups interested in special activities such as bird watching, entry to the center can be done from 6:00 a.m. The sighting guide services are offered by local communities and have a cost associated with the size of the group and the time dedicated to the experience.
